Hello and welcome to the Success Club Podcast, my name is Kaz Johnson and I am your host today, this is episode 179 and today I am talking about the steps you need to create your email autoresponder.

So what is an autoresponder? Autoresponders are emails that are sent out automatically when someone subscribers to your list.

It is a series of emails that get sent out in response to a trigger.

So, what do you send out in this series?

The first one will be a Welcome email. It will include ‘thank you for signing up’ and an inclusion of what the subscriber has signed up for.

Then it will be a series of emails set up to include things like tips and offers.

How to set up an email autoresponder

In your chosen email provider, navigate your way to the autoresponders.

Write and design your welcome email template

Set expectations: what will they get from you and when?

Promote the latest offer or give a discount code and you should also tell them ways to stay in touch with you.

I write my series of emails in a Word document with what I say are a tip, a tip, a tip, a tip, followed by an offer.

These emails could include:-

Order confirmation emails
Confirm that their payment was successful, and the order is on its way. Make sure that you include the total cost and/or a receipt Add useful links to their membership or course and ways to contact your support desk.

Recommended offers

This is where you send your subscriber your best-selling or recommended products or services Don’t forget to include any useful tips or complementary products

Sales

This can include a flash sale, a special holiday promo or and a free delivery.

New content

Promote reports and ebooks that you have written with a one-time offer link. You could send out invitations to your webinars or workshops. This is a great way to share with your subscribers free eCourses or a trial to your membership.

Feedback requests

Ask customers if they like your product or service and then get it reviewed on external sites . This is also a great way to get customer testimonials to use in a marketing campaign

Tips

I send out tips a lot. This is a great way to show that you are an expert in your field. It also is a great way to build a relationship with them so that you get that know like and trust factor.
