Session 112 – How to promote your lead magnet
You are listening to the Success Club Podcast. Hello and welcome to session 112 This week I am talking to you about how to promote your lead magnet on social media
Hello and welcome to the Success Club Podcast, my name is Kaz Johnson and I am your host today, this is episode 112 and today I am talking about how to promote your lead magnet on social media
In the previous couple of posts, I have talked about lead magnets, now it’s time to start promoting them.
So, here are some steps to take to make sure it gets found…
The first you can do is to create a landing page, we need to start with the end in mind, so start here. A landing page is where a person “lands” on after clicking through from an email, ad, or other digital location. Once they’re on your landing page, users are encouraged to take an action, such as joining your list
Every time you write a blog post, put a call to action at the bottom of your blog post. This call to action would be to opt into your mailing list.
Share it on Social Media with links to your landing page and make sure you set up an evergreen campaign so that it gets shared out on social media on a regular basis
Share excerpts or tips from your lead magnet on Facebook, linking back to your landing page.
Put your lead magnet in your header. A good, clean and well-designed header with attention-grabbing, concise text is another way to promote your lead magnet, Don’t forget to highlight the value of your lead magnet.
Guest post – Add a link to your bio on guest blogging. Make sure that you use a URL shortener like billy to enable you to create a traceable and attractive link.
Add the lead magnet to the sidebar of your blog, especially if it’s a good evergreen option and don’t forget to change these up on a regular basis.
Use a tool like Convertbox, this is a great tool that creates a beautiful on-site message and targeted CTA’s for your website that converts more visitors into leads, sales and repeat customers on autopilot! Currently, there is a lifetime deal sale now on – see the resources list for this special deal just head on over to kazjohnson.com/112.
Create a Twitter campaign. According to Wisemetrics, they found that the half-life of a tweet is just 24 minutes. To reach a wide segment of your followers up the number of Tweets at the start of the campaign.
So write a series of tweets that focus on the main problem you can solve and the emotions that hide behind it.
Use a social media management dashboard, like Co-Schedule’s Social Media Campaign feature to schedule them. Unfortunately, Twitter does not allow you to schedule the same tweet twice, so you need to rotate the tweets and decreasing frequency as the campaign goes on.
Put a link in your Instagram bio. Instagram doesn’t give you a lot of options when it comes to linking to outside resources. The only thing you get right now unless you have a verified account is the link in your bio. Just make sure that with each post, you mention that there is a link in the bio and change it up on a regular basis.
Create a Facebook add to promote your lead magnet. People do not buy in cold, so you need to be thinking about promoting your lead magnet here instead of trying to sell your product here. You can run a small advert and test different lead magnets out to see which one gets you the most sign-ups.
And as I have said before, add the lead magnet to the end of all of your posts, so go through all your blog posts and make sure that you have added one to the end of each blog post.
Now you have a few ways of promoting your lead magnet, just make sure that you track how many sign-ups you get each day in some kind of tracker, I have a copy of mine you can use to download. Just head on over to kazjohnson.com/112 and If you set a goal for your subs and track the results you can see the results for all your hard work. The more targeted sign-ups you get, the more sales you will eventually get. This has to be your number one priority each day to keep your sales funnel full.
Lastly, so quick ideas that you can use that won’t take very long to implement…
If you go out networking, put a link on your business cards or promotional flyers.
Don’t forget to put your link in your email signature too. As well as your Linkedin profile.
