Hello and welcome to the Success Club Podcast, my name is Kaz Johnson and I am your host today, this is episode 186, and today I am talking about the most important business tools to use when launching a new venture.

Let’s look at some of the things you will need:-

You’ll need a name

Here are some things you need to consider when starting a new business. It is a good ideal to consider the following.

  1. What’s your name?
  2. What do you want to sell?
  3. Where will you be based?
  4. Who are your customers?
  5. How much time can you commit per week/month/year to this business venture?
  6. Do you have any hobbies or passions that could be turned into a business idea, like scrapbooking, baking, or photography?

A logo and branding strategy, including colors and fonts for your website, social media pages, print materials, etc.

A Logo

If you need a logo for your business, I recommend using Canva. You can create professional logos without having any design experience. Or you could consider outsourince this, this can be made very cheaply using sites like Fiverr, or Upwork.

Colors and fonts for your website

The colors and fonts you choose can make a big difference in your blog’s overall appearance. For instance, if you’re trying to create a vintage look, soft pastel tones might do the trick. On the other hand, using bright colors like red.

Tone of voice

It’s important to choose the right tone in marketing. For example, using a witty tone of voice will make your customers feel more engaged with your brand.

Social media strategy

Social media is a great way to get your business’s message out. It can help you generate more leads and improve sales.

An online presence via a website or blog with an e-commerce component (Shopify)

If you are selling online, then Shopify is a great e-commerce platform to use. It’s easy to set up and the fees are reasonable.

A legal structure for the company (LLC? Sole Proprietorship?)

I would recommend a sole proprietorship because it’s easy to set up and maintain, however, you can always upgrade later on if you need to.

Insurance coverage

Insurance coverage in case something goes wrong with your products or services

You should consider purchasing insurance for your products in case something goes wrong with them. There are different types of insurance you can purchase to cover the costs associated with giving a refund, replacing or repairing the product, and more if necessary.
