How to make money blogging using these strategies

You are listening to the Success Club Podcast. Hello and welcome to session 144. This week I am talking to you about how to make money blogging using these strategies

Hello and welcome to the Success Club Podcast, my name is Kaz Johnson and I am your host today, this is episode 144, and today I am talking about the How to make money blogging using these strategies

No, absolutely not, you are on one right?

If you are a blogger, or just starting out, or even if you are thinking of starting one, here are some things you need to take into consideration.

Just get started!

Like Nike says, ‘Just do it’. Just sit down, do a brainstorm of what you are passionate about, what could you still talk about 5 years from now.

Is there a lace of bloggers in your go-to industry? This is a sure sign you are onto a winner here! but first of all, you need to think of who your target audience is, then do a brain dump of what you should write about, who your target audience is, and lastly, what are you passionate about? For example, when I started this blog, I was passionate about the great outdoors, and online business too!

Lately, I have been sharing with people my thoughts about business and tie those thoughts into business, I blog about online business, but I share on social media my walks and my thoughts and ask business-related questions as well.

When you are blogging, you need to think about, what can I educate my audience with, what is entertaining and can tell a story about, related to the business of course, and lastly what can I do that will motivate my audience with.

Once you have a target audience, what it is you are going to write about, and that you are passionate about, you need to write at least 6 blogs before you publish it.

But before you hit publish, you need to look at the SEO, did you include a focus keyword, did you complete the metadata, did you include the focus keyword in your heading, subheading, and 3rd heading as well a first and last paragraph, and finally did you include it in the title of your image as an alt tag. I highly recommend Yoast for helping you will all of this, I have had the paid version, but you can get away with just using the free version. And finally, make sure you include some backlinks to other sites as well as internally linking. Again, this all helps with SEO and helps people to find your blog,

Finally, make sure you have a call to action. Include at least three option boxes on your site. One at the beginning of your post, in the sidebar, and also one at the end. Yes, I know, it seems a lot, but trust me on this one, you will need at least three if you want people to act and get on your subscribers list so that you can start that all-important, know, like and trust relationship.

Apart from telling Mr Google, your post has gone live, you need to tell everyone you have published a post. All the social media channels you are on and also to your email list as well.

Just make sure that your theme is mobile friendly as a lot of searches are now done on mobile, and Mr Google runs mobile indexing.

Whilst this seems a lot, once you are in the routine of blogging, I do it every Monday, it does get much easier. I also use a tool called Co-schedule to help me with the posting of my blogs too!
