What are a sales funnel?
The sales funnel refers to the buying process that businesses lead customers through when purchasing products.
In other words, it means the process through which a company finds, qualifies, and sells its products to buyers, so as you can see, it’s a very important part of your business and a process that needs to be inlace before any sales are going to be made.
So let me explain to you the process of an evergreen sales funnel..
Simply put, they work as your sales machine every single day! There are literally thousands of people looking for you and they want your product or service… NOW!
So, I am going to be talking about AIDA for a bit as it is important for you to understand the sales process, it stands for Awareness, interest, decision, and action – this is referred to as you sales funnel.￼
The customer becomes aware of you, your product, or your brand.
I like both models, but the paid adverts work, as well as do your SEO, needs to attract people that are cold leads, so, you would be advertising to them your free lead magnet, for example, a free cheat sheet, contest, a course, anything that would attract your ideal client. And lastly, social media posting, this could be an article, post, podcast, or even Youtube, they are all ways of getting you found and raising as awareness about you and your brand.
This is not the time to sell to them, but to raise awareness of your product or service.
The customer becomes interested in learning about brand benefits & how the brand fits in with their lifestyle.
Now that you have their interest, it’s time to build a relationship with them, they need that know, like, and trust factor.
You can do this by creating a blog, podcast, YouTube video, and even a Facebook group.
It is somewhere where they can learn to trust you, this is one way I always say, stay consistent as they have to learn to trust that you are going to show up no matter what!
The customer develops a favorable disposition towards you and your brand, they have gotten to know you, like you and now they trust you to the point that they make that decision to purchase your product or service.
And now The customer forms a purchase intention, shops around, engages in trial or makes a purchase whether it is a product or a sale.
Test and Tweak
By setting up your sales funnel you need to test it, tweak it and review it, but once set up, it pretty much looks after itself, so it becomes an ever evergreen sale funnel, something that does not change very much and something that you can leave on autopilot, but you must review it on a regular basis to see what is working, what is not working and what you can change in the future. I do my reviews every 90 days on my review week.
Evergreen Sales Funnel are automated
Once you have set up your sales funnel and tested it tweaked it, you now only need to maintain it, but you can more or less leave it to sell for you.
No longer are you trying to sell every day, safe in the knowledge that you have set up your evergreen sales funnel to do the work for you.
