Getting the right customer on your email list
You are listening to the Success Club Podcast. Hello and welcome to session 160. This week I am talking to you about getting the right customer on your email list.
Hello and welcome to the Success Club Podcast, my name is Kaz Johnson and I am your host today, this is episode 160, and today I am talking about getting the right customer on your email list.
This week we launched the email list building challenge, and it’s proven so popular that we are going to keep it running. So, if you are late coming to the market and you want to grow your email list, then hop right on over to it here.
For 7-days straight you will do something to build your email list, and we all know that the money is in the list, right?
But we also know that you need to make sure that you have the right people on that list, people who are your ideal client needs to be in line with what you do otherwise you have just wasted your time and effort.
It is not a good idea to offer an iPad or iPhone away as your lead magnet as this will attract everyone and anyone, but you need to make sure that you know who they are and where they hang out.
Look at your past customers, what do they have in common.
Here are some things to map out your ideal client
• How old are they?
• What did they purchase?
• Where do they live?
• What age bracket are they?
• What keeps them up at night?
• What problems do they have?
Now write down the following things about your ideal customer: –
• What blogs do they read?
• What TV shows do they watch?
• What Facebook groups do they hang out in?
• Who do they follow on social media?
• What do they read in mainstream media?
Once you have made a list, save it and keep it handy so that you can refer to it and keep in mind when you need to create content creation as well as building your email list.
All these things help you to find your ideal customer so that you can offer them something of value, and they are going to buy from you in the future once you have built up the know, like and trust relationship with them by sending out a lead magnet they value, but also in the follow-up emails that you are going to be sending out to the to nurture them with.
Map out your ideal customer
Go now, and map out your ideal customer and create some lead magnet that they would be eager to sign up with, but make sure it aligns with your business or service.
