You need to be constantly focusing on growing your email list as it is a fact that your email list shrinks by 22.5% each year due to people moving their email list to a different provider, opting-out, or other reasons.

It is your job to make it a number one priority to make growing your email list your number one priority so that you can nurture your customers and keep not only growing your list but to make sure that you can grow your business too!
Sometimes we all need more simple ways to grow your email list so that we can grow your business.

 

1 – Create a free online tool or resource

If you create a free online tool that visitors have to sign up for with their email address to use the tool.

For example, there created quite a few free tools, like Marketing Grader, to gather email addresses that Hub spot has created.

2 – Create ‘Bonus’ content

You can create extra content that the visitor will have to sign up for with an opt in to capture their email information so that they can then get access to your gated, but useful content that will help them solve a problem.

3 – Keep your lead capturing forms short

Although you may want to capture as much information from your customers as possible, too many fields of information can be off-putting for your customer, so make sure that you only ask for their name and email address, you can always ask for more information further down the line.

4 – Host an online event

This could be a free event, like a networking event, either free or paid, when people register for your event, make sure that you add that you will be also sending some free useful information to them on a regular basis. For example, a free weekly newsletter with tips offers, and updates on your line of work.

5 – Host an event with a partner.

When you create a joint event with a joint venture partner, not only are you raising your profile to collect email leads, but you also get access to your partner’s audience too! After you have created the event, you get to split the leads you generate with your partner.
