This week I am talking to you about How to repurpose your online course content

One of the best ways to get more customers and increase your revenue is to repurpose your online course content.  You have spent a lot of time and effort in creating your content, so now let’s look at why and how you can repurpose your online course content.  But first of all you need to understand that everyone learns in different ways, so you need to keep in mind that when your repurpose your content, it is not just a matter of copying and pasting your content, but to re-create that content in different ways for your different types of customers.

The first thing that you can do with your course is to write a blog post, this is great for people who like to read about your content.  By writing a blog post about your online course is really easy, you do not have to give away everything for free, but what you can do is to look at each of your lessons in turn and take some of content and turn it into a blog article with a link to your online course and offering them a promotion for it, for example, as free lesson, a webinar  or video, depending on what type of course you deliver.

Once you have a blog post, you can record it as a podcast, put it on iTunes, Soundcloud or Podbean to bring people back to your blog with your call to action to sign up for your freebie, this satisfies your customers who are audible learners.

After you have created your audible media, you can then create a video that you can put on Youtube, with backlinks to your blog.  Now video is fast becoming the medium people use to consume content and YouTube is one of the biggest search engines, so it is a must if you want to get found in today’s online marketing.

Another area you could look at is Facebook live, where you can provide instant content for viewers and it’s a great cost effective strategy whereby you can interact with your viewers asking them questions to find out what it is they want so you can deliver to them in the future. All you need is a smartphone, so it’s a really easy and cost-effective way to promote your courses and drives traffic to your Facebook pages or groups. By doing Facebook lives, is that it can drive more traffic to your page or group as more engagement than just videos through engagement by asking your viewers questions and getting them to answer them, for example, you can ask viewers what they would like to see in upcoming live trainings, what they have experienced in their particular field and so forth.  This will bring your views back time and time again, bringing a deeper connection with them that helps with that know, like and trust that you are looking for to enable them to buy from you.

Another thing you can do to create a book from your course.  Now then, this could just be a simple downloadable ebook that people can download from your site, or you can create a hard copy that can be distributed on Amazon, and you can also create a Kindle book for this.

Finally, you could offer a free sample of your online course in a membership that is free for people, whilst this is not technically repurposing your content, I have included it as this is what I offer people to showcase my course, and bring people to the Kaz Academy, so they can see what it is they are missing if they do not become a paid member of the academy.
