Hello and welcome to session 75 and this week I am talking to you about why creating content is important.

There are a few reasons that creating content is important and I will be discussing a few of them in no particular order.

So what do I mean by content? It could be a regular blog and it could also be content that you put on your website, or a Youtube video for example or even an online course.

So then, why is it important to create online content?

It builds trust

Yes, we have all heard it before that people buy from people who they know like and trust.  By consistently creating content, be it a blog or a series of videos on Youtube, people get to know like and trust you, so they are more likely to purchase from you in the long run.

It helps with SEO

By publishing good quality on a regular basis helps you get found by people who are looking for you.

How?  The search engines send out bots and spiders that crawl your website looking for new content.  Search engines like Google will rank your site higher with each update.

It helps to bring in new leads

How?  When people find you, get to know you and if you offer a freebie that your reader is interested in, they will sign up leaving you their contact details so that you can keep the relationship going.

Make sure then that you have a freebie in your post for them to sign up for, this is often referred to as a call to action (CTA) and see new leads coming in.

It helps to showcase that you are the ‘expert’ in your industry

By consistently writing about what you know about in your industry you will become the go to person in your industry and become known as the expert in your industry.

So, there is no reason not to get started on that blog today, and to help you along, I have a free course on how to set up your blog in WordPress in the Kaz Academy.
